AI Tool Setup

Each tool keeps its own file format. A Cursor rule is not copied into a Windsurf or OpenCode config.

CursorPlain markdown belongs in AGENTS.md. Scoped instructions are .mdc files under .cursor/rules. Skills live in .agents/skills.WindsurfCascade workflows are markdown files in .windsurf/workflows. Skills use .windsurf/skills or .devin/skills. A Cursor .mdc file is not a Windsurf rule.OpenAI CodexCodex reads AGENTS.md and skills in .agents/skills. The default combined instruction limit is 32 KiB, so the root file stays short.OpenCodeOpenCode V2 loads AGENTS.md. opencode.jsonc declares the schema. The instructions array is accepted by the schema and is not applied, so it is omitted.
